Sleeping In The Sky at Skyridge Glamping

About 5 minutes past Kananskis Village lies a little resort nestled on the side of a mountain with incredible views and cozy cabins. Skyridge Glamping is brand new to the area and offers at 21+ resort with your choice of a Sky Box or a Sky Glass cabin. We had a chance to stay 2 nights in a Sky Box and it did not disappoint!

SKYRIDGE GLAMPING

Skyridge was created with a simple vision; immerse yourself in nature without sacrificing comfort. That’s exactly what they have done. Each cabin offers modern amenities like a stove top, fridge, flushing toilets, running water, WiFi and a gorgeous hot water rain shower.

It only opened in 2025 and currently has approximately 15 cabins. There are plans to open more cabins with the addition of a wellness spa.

While staying at the resort you can rent a propane fire pit for your porch, arrange gourmet meal kits and there is even a gear closet where you can borrow things like backpacks, raincoats, hiking maps, trekking poles, headlamps, and more.

Check In is 4pm & Check Out is 10am. Upon check-in, they offer early and/or late check-in/out for a fee, pending availability.

SKYBOX

We stayed in a Sky Box which offered great mountain and forest views. I felt like we were sleeping in the middle of a forest with all the comforts of home. The bathroom is spa inspired. Heated floors, a rain shower and gorgeous lighting. The kitchens are extremely well equipped. From Nespresso machines to pots and pans; they have it it all. The little portable oven is “Our Place” brand and was really neat. We had a make your own pizza night and it was awesome.

All cabins have a King Bed with a EuroTop mattress, luxury sheets, a safe, in room games, a yoga mat, a hair dryer, digital room key entry, a bluetooth music player and an alarm clock.

SKYGLASS

You also have to option to book a Sky Glass cabin which offers floor to ceiling windows and a bit of a different layout. The glass is seamless; you literally are in a glass box. It is really neat. Hindsight; I honestly wish we would’ve booked one of these. They can be pricey but they offer a view like no other. They also offer all amenities like a King Bed with a EuroTop mattress, luxury sheets, a safe, in room games, a yoga mat, a hair dryer, digital room key entry, a bluetooth music player and an alarm clock.

FOOD

As mentioned before, you can pre book gourmet meals to come right to your cabin. Or you can venture out. Right nearby is Kananaskis Village offering a few different restaurants. About 25 mins away is Canmore and further down the road- Banff.

We brought some pizza dough and all the fixings and had a cute pizza date night. Highly reccomend!

There is a fridge to keep your drinks and food cold in every cabin. No microwave but there is a stovetop and the little mini oven.

PETS

Skyridge Glamping IS pet friendly!! However only a few of the cabins are designated so. If you want to bring your furry friend; book early!

The pet fee is included in the room rate for these pet-friendly units, which come with a pet bed, toys, bowls, and a treat.

KANANASKIS CONSERVATION PASS

If you’re only staying at Skyridge Glamping, no pass is required. However, if you plan to explore other adventures within Kananaskis, you will need to purchase a conservation pass. This was introduced back in 2021 and trust me; they are strict!

While Kananaskis is a Provincial Park you do not require a National Park Pass (Discovery Pass) to visit, but you do need the Conservation Pass. Click here for more info and/or to buy a pass.

A note if you head into Banff; you will need the Discovery Pass. More info HERE.

We explored the Lillian Lake hike as well as the Nordic Spa. Both were within a 5 minute drive of Skyridge Glamping.

TRAILS

There are a ton of trails all over Kananaskis Country. If you’re looking for an easier trail with a beautiful waterfall; I would suggest “TROLL FALLS”. It is about a 10 minute drive from Skyridge Glamping and extremely easy to find. You can hike this in both winter and summer.

TIP FOR TROLL FALLS : Park in the parking lot and when walking make sure you turn left after the bathrooms. Don’t walk down all the way along the power lines.

It would take a normal person I would say around 30-40 mins to do this.

The incline is not too steep and the waterfall at the end is awesome. There is also lots of fun things along the way to check out including some teepees! Many told us there were actual trolls hidden in the woods too that you could look for but I tried really hard and didn’t see any ha. That doesn’t mean they are not there.

HOW TO BOOK

If you are interested in staying at Skyridge Glamping; their website is really easy to navigate. You can book HERE . There you can discover and explore the different cabins and see what each can offer.

This truly was such a romantic and cozy getaway. The views were absolutely breathtaking; I don’t know how many times I said “This is beautiful”. Skyridge Glamping is exactly the place you are looking for to celebrate an anniversary or if you’re looking to get out of the city and connect. I absolutely loved it here.
