Create Your Own Signature Perfume with a Bespoke Session at PURA Botanicals
I was lucky enough to experience a Bespoke Perfume session at PURA Botanicals this fall and it was the coolest thing! I came in nervous; knowing nothing about making my own perfume or choosing the “right” scents and I left with the most delicious custom made perfume. This is a fantastic gift for so many people in your life.
WHAT IS IT?
When you book a Bespoke Mini Session; you are in for such a treat. It is a one-on-one custom perfuming session with PURA's in-house professional nose. It takes about 30 minutes and they will guide you through the different scents and find the PERFECT matches for you.
Think about things you love; for me it was scents of vanilla ( basic I know haha) and florals like rose but also a little spice too.
I didn’t realize how much smell and fragrance is tied to memory. Haha call it a therapy session; I love vanilla as a comfort smell from home and rose because it reminds me of my grandma.
In this intimate session at their flagship store, you get to sit down and select from their beautiful collection of pure essential oils, absolutes and essences for your base, heart, accord and top notes.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of $110. Usually when you attach “Custom” to anything you also attach a couple 0’s haha. For $110 I got to sit one on one with their professional fragrance creator. It felt so special and to have a custom perfume to call my own. I went home with a 7mL jojoba- based, roll on, custom perfume oil. They also keep everything on file so you can come back anytime and make another OR they can adjust the notes for you if say, you wanted the fragrance heavier or lighter.
You can also book a session with a girlfriend, your partner or a parent. You will be able to do it together and spend an hour creating your own custom perfumes ($220) . At the end; you will each go home with a 7mL, jojoba- based, roll on, custom perfume oil.
OK BUT WHO IS THIS FOR?
This is such a perfect gift for a bride to be, a new mom who needs a little pampering (and a pick me up!) or a loved one. Heck - its the perfect gift for yourself! This experience is one I will never forget. Think of the good times in your life and the smells associated with it. Maybe its the smell of the beach from that fantastic summer day, or cookies baking in the oven when you got home from school. Scent is tied to memory and creating my own truly just made me so happy.
