A Magical Stay at Charmed Resorts Mulhurst Bay

About 45 minutes from Edmonton lies an enchanted little forest community full of wonder and awe. Charmed Resorts at Mulhurst Bay is the second location in the “Charmed” family. Their original location is in the Crowsnest Pass in Blairmore. We had a chance to stay a night in Cinderella’s Cottage and it was truly an unforgettable experience.

CHARMED RESORTS

Tyson and Audy Leavitt started their magical resort called “Charmed Resorts” in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta with their family. Recently they just opened a second location ( where we went ) near Pigeon Lake at Mulhurst Bay. Right now there are 3 cottages at that location. Each cottage has been handcrafted to offered such a unique overnight experience. At the Crowsnest Pass location; there are 16 meticulously handcrafted cottages where every detail invites you into a new fairytale.

Picnic tables, wood fired hot tubs, fire pits and swinging chairs are just some of the incredible amenities offered at the resorts that allow your imagination to run wild and your heart to be free.

Check In is 4pm & Check Out is 12pm.

CINDERELLA’S COTTAGE

We stayed in Cinderella’s Cottage at Mulhurst Bay. It comfortably slept myself, the three kids and our dog Cactus ( more on how nice it is that they are dog friendly below!). Many cabins, castles and cottages can accommodate up to 6 people (one even can sleep 7!). As soon as you walked in you felt like you were right in a fairy tale. No detail has been overlooked.

One detail I LOVED- power and running water. I enjoy a good camping experience but this brought a sense of comfort to the woods. A tub for the kids, a flush toilet and lights & electricity when we needed it.

However it was a neat blend of modern and classic as we had a wood - fired hot tub out back and a beautiful fire pit in the front.

There was also a swing chair, a picnic table and a BBQ.

The beds were really comfortable and we loved the nostalgic touches like an old fashions fridge and a pink microwave hidden in the cupboard! The electric fireplace in the room kept us warm at night and offered the perfect glow for the kids!

FOOD

There are so many options for what to do for meals when staying at Charmed Resorts in Mulhurst Bay. We ended up going into the Village at Pigeon Lake and enjoying a local restaurant there. However you could bring your own food and easily cook at the cottage as well. There was a BBQ and a microwave provided. Breakfast was easy - oatmeal and muffins!

Some options if you want to go out to eat:

Restaurants :

  • Sandholm Corner Store – 8.9 km

  • Chef N Pigeon - 22 km (This is where we ate!! GREAT kids meals and a fantastic dill pickle pizza!)

  • Daisy Mc Beans’s - 22 km

Coffee & Bakery:

  • Eco Cafe – 22 km

  • Calmar Bakery – 36 km

This truly was an experience like no other. It exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in every cottage is so evident. You can really tell this family has put their heart and soul into this resort. The kids loved dressing up and letting their imaginations run wild. It was so nice to see them just being kids, running through the forest. I absolutely loved it here.
