Stuffed Pasta Shells

This is a staple in the Sweeney house - so easy and so delicious! And pretty cute to let the kids help you stuff them too :)

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb Ground Beef

1 Medium Onion Chopped

1 Container of Ricotta Cheese ( 500g)

1 Cup Frozen Chopped Spinach ( or One Block)

1 Cup Shredded Cheese ( Cheddar, Marble, Whatever You Prefer)

1 Jar of Rose Sauce

1 Box of Giant Pasta Shells ( * lots of people wondering where to get these; I picked them up at Superstore)

METHOD:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Brown the ground beef

  3. Once browned, add the chopped onion to the beef

  4. Add the frozen chopped spinach to the onion and beef

  5. In a large pot, boil water and cook the large pasta shells

  6. In a large bowl combine the shredded cheese and ricotta cheese

  7. In that same large bowl combine the beef, onion and spinach mixture to the cheese mixture and stir

  8. Once cooked, drain the shells

  9. In a pan, spread a bit of the rose sauce on the bottom

  10. Stuff the shells with the beef and ricotta mixture and place them in the pan

  11. Once the pan is full, pour the remainder of the rose sauce over the shells

  12. Cook covered for 40 mins , then 5 more mins uncovered.
