Kennedy’s Big Girl Room

When we were expecting our second baby, we don’t know it was going to be a girl or a boy. (SPOILER- It was a Girl!). But we thought it was the logical thing to move our 3 year old daughter Kennedy out of the gender neutral nursery and into her own room where she could pick out the colour and most of the decor.

Well surprise surprise….what do most 3 year girls love? Pink and Paw Patrol haha. So thats what we went for. We took her to Home Depot, let her pick out her fav shade of pink and off to work we went. ( Ps- painting is no easy job! Kudos to all painters out there – geez I hate ceilings, baseboards and corners).

Here are some pics of her new room! Lots of questions about where we got everything – I am happy to say that apart from the wall decals and the paint itself – everything is second hand. Facebook Marketplace was a god send! As for the Pouf and the Paw Patrol toys ( watchtower and toy holder) - again on Facebook Marketplace.

The art peices were gifts from family and the white floating shelves were found at Ikea! For the wall decals - most were found on Amazon. We hung the lights up along the tree ourselves...unfortunately it didn't come like that!. My absolute FAV is the world map it is so freaking cool however it did take a long time to put up haha maybe its just me. The instructions were very clear. It just took some time! But I can tell you that the stickers are very forgiving. You can re-position and re-stick them!

Thanks for taking a look guys! Kennedy LOVED this room.

: ) xoxo Jacks
